In Efremov, for example, a fighting squad was created out of merchants and landowners to suppress peasant revolts.

In other counties, the Cossacks, who were sent there by the Tula provincial commissar Sovetinov (the Menshevik), "looted" the peasants.

The peasants demanded land. The landlords demanded order to deny peasants in the land under the protection of this order.

The front of the class struggle was sharply marked in the village.

This was not seen at that time only by the Socialist-Revolutionaries, who most of all bragged about the knowledge of the village.

But this was well taken into account by the Bolsheviks. In the cities it was, perhaps, even worse than in the village.

The frustration of the economy was on the face. The City Duma was sitting without money.

With an empty cash register was and zemstvo board. In the city there was no food. Trade-industrialists were organized.

Finally, a provincial association of trade-industrialists, homeowners and clergy was created (already in November).


To this "union of bison" only less * wikis paid no attention. The Mensheviks and Socialist-Revolutionaries were engaged in playing "leapfrog."

The Provincial Commissars were replaced with cinematic speed.
